Our official scientific journal, Free Radical Biology and Medicine (FRBM), is officially issuing a Call for Papers for a special, high-impact thematic issue entitled "Reductive Pressures in Metabolic Organs: Molecular Machinery and Clinical Translation".
In contrast to traditional oxidative stress paradigms, this special volume centers on "reductive stress" - the pathological excess of reducing equivalents (NADH/NADPH) or hyper-activation of antioxidant defenses - and its emergent role in liver disease, cardiac failure, and metabolic diabetes.
Guest Editorial Team:
The issue will be guest-edited by Prof. Regina Brigelius-Flohé (DIfE, Germany), Prof. Giovanni Mann (King's College London, UK), and Prof. Giuseppe Poli (University of Turin, Italy).
